Dobermans!

Doberman Pinschers are so cool so why don't you have a look at some facts about them!

#1. "The Doberman Pinscher is a medium-sized, squarely built dog with a compact muscular body."
#2. "The head is long when viewed from the side looks like a blunt wedge."
#3. "The color of the nose depends on the color of the dog's coat, black on black dogs, dark brown on red dogs, dark gray on blue dogs, dark tan on fawn dogs and pink on white dogs."
#4. "The teeth meet in a scissors bite."
#5. "The color of the almond shaped eyes is various shades of brown, depending on the coat color of the dog."
#6. "The ears are usually cropped to stand erect (cut at the age of about 12 weeks). The pups ears have to be taped for a couple of months to make them stand up. A lot of breeders are starting to leave the pup's ears natural. If left natural they develop ears somewhat like a hound."
#7. "The tail is usually docked at the age of 3 days. If the tail is not docked it grows a tail somewhat like a hound."
#8. "The chest is broad and the legs are perfectly straight."
#9. "The short, hard, thick coat lies flat. Sometimes there is an invisible gray undercoat on the neck. The coat comes in black, black with tan markings, blue-gray, red, fawn and white. When marking appear they are above each eye, on the muzzle, throat, forechest, legs, feet and on the tail. There is also a solid white color. While white markings are considered a fault in some clubs, in others it is accepted."
#10. "Doberman Pinschers are very keen, super energetic with tremendous strength and stamina."
#11. "Dobes like to be with their people and are not suited to kennel or back yard life, they need human interaction and leadership."
#12. "Loyal, tolerant, dedicated and affectionate with the family."
#13. "Determined, bold and assertive while working, they are very adaptable, highly skilled and versatile."
#14. "They are intelligent and very easy to train."
#15. 'They are an outstanding watch and guard dog and do not need additional protection training."
#16. "This breed is not for everyone. The Doberman needs an owner who is willing and able to display a natural authority over the dog. All family members must be firm, confident and consistent, setting rules and sticking to them. Learning to handle the dog properly, as Dobermans can become stubborn and willful if allowed to have their own way. Everything must be on the humans terms."
#17. "The Doberman needs to be consistently and thoroughly trained."
#18. "Dobes can be good family dogs if the alpha role belongs to the human and if they receive enough exercise, are well trained and well socialized with children."
#19. "Although the Doberman has the reputation of being a very aggressive dog, this is just not the case. For example, Dobes make great therapy dogs."
#20. "They are sweet and gentle with nursing home patients--- tip-toeing over IV tubing and walking at the resident's speed (which can be very slow), while at the same time will fiercely defend its master if it become necessary."
#21. "Height: Dogs- 26-28 inches (66-71 cm.)
Bitches- 24-26 inches (61-66 cm.)"
#22. "Weight: 66-88 pounds (30-40 kg.)"
#23. "Will do okay in an apartment if sufficiently exercised, but does best with at least an average-sized yard. Dobes are very cold sensitive and are not an outside dog. That is why police in areas where it gets cold are not able to use them."
#24. "Life Expectancy: Up to 13 years."

Shar-Pei!

Chinese Shar-Pei are so cool so why don't you have a look at some facts about them:

#1. "The Chinese Shar-Pei is a large dog with wrinkled skin."
#2. "It has a square profile with a broad, flat head."

#7. "Both heavily wrinkled dogs with large heads and smaller headed dogs with tighter looking skins occur in this breed."
#8. "Puppies have more wrinkles than adults."
#9. "Shar-Pei slowly loose their wrinkles as they get older."
#10. "There are three coat varieties: horse-coat, brush-coat and a rare bear-coat, which is not recognized by the AKC. The bear-coat, does not falling within AKC standard because this particular Shar-Pei has an undercoat and a topcoat exceeding 1 inch. The popular theory about the bear-coat is that it's a "throwback" to the chow-chow. They are actually quite popular as pet quality Shar-Pei, albeit rare, and often confused with the chow by unknowing owners as well as animal shelter workers. The unusual horse-coat is rough to the touch, extremely prickly and off-standing. The brush-coated variety has longer hair and a smoother feel. The coat on either variety can be up to one inch in length. Coat colors include all solid colors and sables. There is also a lowered, spotted, and a parti colored (flowered) Shar-Pei coat, which is a disqualifying fault in the show ring according to AKC standard."
#11. "Shar-Pei are very loyal to their handler."
#12. "Intelligent, playful, active, dominant, and brave."
#13. "They bond with their family, but are not unfriendly towards strangers."
#14. "If the dog meets cats and children while they are still young, they usually will have no problem with them."
#15. "The Chinese Shar-Pei is easy-going, calm, independent, and devoted."
#16. "They make a delightful companion and good watchdogs."
#17. "The Shar-Pei needs an confident handler."
#18. "Shar-Pei need a firm, but gentle, extremely consistent authority figure."
#19. "Shar-Pei are generally not fond of water and often try to avoid it."
#20. "This breed is very clean and one of the easier breeds to housebreak."
#21. "Socialization is important."
#22. "Some Shar-Pei tend to slobber, especially when in pain."
#23. "It is important to find a reputable breeder when seeking a Shar-Pei."
#24. "This breed was very popular in the 1980's. It was referred to as one of the "Yuppie Puppies", meaning the breeds were carelessly over-bred."
#25. "Height: 18-20 inches (46-51 cm.)"
#26. "Weight: 40-55 pounds (18-25 kg.)"
#27. "The Chinese Shar-Pei will do okay in an apartment if it is sufficiently exercised. It is moderately active indoors and will do okay without a yard. Shar-Pei are sensitive to warm weather, partly do to the wrinkles on their head holding in the heat. On hot days shade should always be provided. Water should be available at all times. Provided they get enough exercise, they will be very peaceful indoors."
#28. "Life Expectancy: Up to 10 years."
